By the time I was 30, I could reject a man from across the room without ever even saying hello.
Bad socks. Clunky shoes. Goofy eyebrows. Insincere shirt. Annoying neck.
It was a perfect companion to my other skill, which was that I would fall in love with a man from across the room without ever even saying hello.
Cute glasses. Great chin. We'll name our children Anna and Billy and live in a yellow house with lilac bushes in the yard.
Men hunt. Women shop. Trained by a lifetime of hurling through 400,000-acre malls trying to find one thing that fits us, we learned to either invest the next five years in trying to make it work or to take a pass immediately.
